DENVER, CO – JULY 7, 2008 – PaySimple, the leading provider of SaaS (Software as a Service) on-demand electronic payment solutions for small businesses, today announced that Sherri Hammons has joined the company as vice president of engineering, where she will lead the company’s product development and technology roadmap, and oversee the engineering team.

“Sherri is a natural leader with a deep understanding of the transaction software market,” said Eric Remer, PaySimple’s Chief Executive Officer. “Her track record for delivering complex engineering programs and great reputation for growing world-class technical teams will be invaluable as PaySimple continues to advance and expand development of its product lines. I look forward to Sherri’s contributions as a key member of our management team.”

Hammons has over fifteen years of development experience and joins PaySimple after more than twelve years at Abacus, a cooperative database company for the direct marketing industry, and a division of Epsilon Data Management, LLC. There she was vice president of data and model performance, and oversaw the company’s software development for international markets as it expanded to London, Japan, Germany and France. She was also involved in all the technical integrations and due diligence for Abacus’ acquisitions, including its acquisition by DoubleClick in 1998, and subsequent Abacus/DoubleClick acquisitions such as MessageMedia and CSC Advanced Database Solutions.

Previously she was the company’s senior technical architect in charge of Abacus’ highly scalable, proprietary software, which is the largest cooperative database in the country with over 100MM households and over 5.5 billion transactions.

Hammons has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Computer Science degree from Rogers State University.
