PaySimple has partnered with Ontario Systems, LLC to provide another integrated ACH and credit card processing option to its collection software solution.

DENVER, CO, April 7, 2008 – PaySimple, the leading provider of on-demand electronic payment solutions for small businesses, announces the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of San Diego and Imperial County has started accepting payments via the on-demand PaySimple Solution. The San Diego BBB, part of the nationwide BBB organization, is enabled to accept dues from its accredited businesses via ACH Direct-Debit or credit card and immediately confirm the account or card information.

The San Diego BBB has over 6,000 accredited businesses and its mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. They accomplish this mission by creating a community of trustworthy businesses, setting standards for marketplace trust, encouraging and supporting best practices, celebrating marketplace role models, and denouncing substandard marketplace behavior. The Better Business Bureau of San Diego works with its accredited businesses to advance this mission and allows them to pay dues the way most convenient to them-on either a yearly or monthly basis.

As an organization with many existing accredited businesses, and with new accredited businesses joining on a daily basis, collecting dues and tracking payments was extremely time-consuming. Jennifer Halbirt, Director of Finance and Human Resources, wanted to reduce the amount of time she spent collecting dues so she could focus more time managing the induction of new members.

“The collections process was difficult because I would manually accept payments, and there was no way of confirming the credit cards live over the phone,” Halbirt said. “Then we would have to verify the credit cards, and if there was a problem, we would have to work with the salespeople to go back and get a new credit card. I knew there had to be a more productive way.”

The BBB of San Diego started accepting payments via the PaySimple Solution and Halbirt continues to accept payment information over the phone. However, by using PaySimple’s virtual terminal, she is able to now instantly verify a credit card or bank account and process the payments, saving the time it took to wait for verification.

Once the PaySimple virtual terminal was implemented, Halbirt found she saved more than 10 hours a week from the time previously spent managing payment collection from new accredited businesses. “With the PaySimple solution up and running, I’m able to focus my time on improving the operations of the department, which ultimately benefits the entire organization,” Halbirt enthused.

One of the main projects Halbirt is focused on is a new, organization-wide, software implementation. Once finalized, the BBB of San Diego plans to offer further PaySimple functionality that will allow their accredited businesses to completely manage their accounts via a secure password on the BBB of San Diego website. “One of the best things about working with PaySimple is that whenever I need something they are there to help me,” Halbirt said. “They do what they say they are going to do and I trust them.
