Why would anyone run through a snow storm in a short-sleeve shirt to a car that is not theirs, and is not only locked, but frozen shut? Can you think of a few reasons? Honestly I can’t, but that’s what I witnessed at on a recent Saturday evening. You might ask yourself, where is this crazy person’s jacket or any source of warmth? Those answers, and many more, can be found in the wild world of business travel. Now, I’m sure a lot of you have traveled, perhaps even extensively. However, there is a large gap between traveling for a vacation and travelling for business.
My name is Pete Adair and I am a Regional Sales Manager for PaySimple. I work closely with our enterprise partners to assist them in marketing our solution to their customers. My job description is extensive, but if I had to sum it up in a sentence it would be, “Where are you going this week?” I have the honor of representing PaySimple in all four major American time zones. Over fried claims in Fort Lauderdale or sipping a rich cappuccino in San Francisco, I evangelize the good word that is PaySimple’s cloud-based receivables product. We solve business cash flow problems and make business owners look good.
To answer to my original question, “Why would someone run through a blizzard in a short-sleeve shirt?” The answer is Passion. We road warriors do what it takes to grow PaySimple. We have the passion to leave the warm nest that is PaySimple and venture out into a world where they have never heard of our solution. We leave and become the proverbial “town crier” of old, spreading the good news of PaySimple. If the cost is slightly frozen forearms and a frostbit nose, then so be it. This is what my team does to help small businesses take on the world.
