Earlier this month, the PaySimple team got together to toast another successful year for the company. It was a shindig full of food, fun, and a reflection on our product, team, and what we completed in 2013. One of the most fulfilling parts of the party is the announcement of the 2013 PaySimple PATHS Awards of the Year — highlighting the contributions of the individual team members who set the bar for the company as a whole around the tenets of Passion, Authenticity, Teamwork, Happiness, and Service. Additionally, the PaySimple Holiday Video debuted!
The winners that were recognized in 2013:
Passion (vibrant energy in all you do)- Mark Pickart (Lead Sales Associate) — Highlighted because Mark is a quiet, but effective, passionate, and energy-filled leader. On a daily basis, people from all departments go to him with questions because they know they will get a clear, thoughtful answer. He does a great job because he cares so much about what he’s doing.
Authenticity (being honest and genuine) – Leah Bowes (Senior Director, Customer Experience) — Leah has built two distinct functional teams from the ground up; she is one of our greatest leaders; she’s an incredible coach; she’s a mentor to everyone on her team; and she’s definitely the most fashionable person in the office. Each member of Leah’s team and people across the company have benefited from her insightful and candid feedback. Next month Leah celebrates five years with PaySimple, and we look forward to her having many more.
Teamwork (being supportive to one another) – Bree Lindner (Manager, Customer Acquisition) — Bree is well recognized for her selflessness, as well as the tremendous effort that she puts forth on a daily basis to drive PaySimple?s new customer acquisition results. Doing the tough blocking and tackling that generally comes with little fanfare, she makes the often incredibly stressful job of managing to our high expectations of new acquisition look easy. She expertly drives the necessary activity from our internal sales team and, external processing partners, understanding how to achieve the end goal of getting new customers approved and set up to use our software.? She approaches every day with a positive attitude, focused on driving success, and is never without a smile while doing so.
Happiness (Exude Happiness in all you do) – Amanda Davenport (Team Member, Customer Success) — A newer member of the team, but an exceptional asset, Amanda loves life and loves her job. She describes her work as ‘playing’ with customers and always has a big smile on her face. Sometimes parts of any job can get you down, but she not only keeps her own spirits up, she manages to lift those of her team and anyone she comes into contact with. She is a bright light at PaySimple.
Service (Improve the lives of everyone you touch) –Aimee Milner (Lead Customer Care Specialist) — Service is something that we have focused on as a company since day one, and Aimee not only stepped up into a service role with a much greater spotlight, but truly shined while doing it. On a daily basis, she naturally jumps headfirst into service issues impacting our customers and partners, doing so with the perfect balance of urgency, patience, control, and grace. Aimee won’t stop chasing an acceptable solution for our customers until she has one, which often finds her as the last person to leave the office at night.
PATHS All-Star – Evan Berlin (VP of Operations) — Evan has been at PaySimple for 5 years and every opportunity that he has had, he has stepped up and absolutely nailed it. No matter what is on his plate, anything that is asked of him will be done and done right. His passion and energy is palpable. If you need someone to take care of something, there is no other thought about who else should take care of it. PaySimple will continue to grow to new places because of Evan’s teamwork and leadership.
PATH of the Year – Sarah Jordan (VP of Marketing)— This could also be known as a ‘Semi- Lifetime achievement’ as Sarah has been at the company since almost day one, and she has grown throughout the organization. Her raw leadership ability, energy, and pure talent is unmatched and impressive. Every new project, team, or task that she has been given is brought to fruition because of pure drive. She takes things personally because of her care and love for the company.
Though there are only 6 awards, Eric Remer, our CEO said it best “I’ve never been more excited about who we are as a whole company and what our opportunities are… it really comes down to the collective talent, the collective energy, the collective passion, and the collective team that we bring together that gives me the excitement and the knowing that we will accomplish all of our goals.”
Congrats on a successful 2013, and here is to an awesome 2014!
