National Small Business Week 2012
This week is National Small Business Week. The cornerstone of the week is a yearly conference hosted by the Small Business Administration. The conference includes awards ceremonies that recognize the special impact made by outstanding American entrepreneurs and small business owners. It also includes a number of presentations on small business accomplishments, including disaster recovery, procurement and entrepreneurial success.
If you’d like to attend the conference, you’re too late. Registration is closed and the conference began last night. However, most of the events are available for free via live webcast. You can also keep up with conference news via Twitter at #SBW2012.
Download the Small Business Week schedule, pick the presentations that interest you, and when the time comes go to the live webcast page to watch them.
You may not be able to participate in the sessions, or take advantage of networking opportunities, but you will be able to hear from the best of the best in small business without the time and expense required to travel to the conference. And, if you’re really bummed to be relegated to voyeur status… there’s always National Small Business Week 2013.
